1. Since the products are so affordable, does that mean that they are created in bulk?
Absolutely not, we create only a small number of each handbag and accessory to ensure fresh and unique looks.

2. If the products are not bought or created in large volumes, how do you manage to keep costs down?
We ensure the best price by:

• Having no retail store costs or overheads
• Having no middlemen
• Being completely involved and cost-conscious at every stage of the production and sales

3. Where else can your products be purchased?
Parapette does not have a store front and 99% our products are available at our website. However, we do have a few products from the “world finds” category that cannot be placed on the site because of the extremely limited number available.
Since we are based out of New York City and shopping alfresco has been a New York tradition that dates back to the 19th century, we promote our products and brand through street fairs and trunk shows in and around the NY area.

4. Where are the bags manufactured?
All the bags and accessories are manufactured in India. As a commitment to our Quality concept and Integrity all our creations are manufactured under good working conditions.

5. Are the bags made of leather?
After extensive research into the leather industry and the alternate fabric options within India, we believe that we can provide our customer with a great look and feel without using leather.
However, when we feel that some of our creations and world finds need leather to achieve a certain look, leather is used and this is clearly specified in each detailed description.

6. How can the materials be cleaned?
All our leather alternative fabrics can be cleaned using a soft cloth and water.
To ensure the longevity of your bag, please ensure that any leather component on that bag is not touched by the water.
All our canvas creations can be cleaned using a soft brush and dry baking soda.

7. Can I buy a gift certificate?
At this time we are unable to offer you this service but we’re working on it. In the meantime, you can always buy one of our handbags as a gift and your friends have the option of returning the bag for a refund to your credit card account or receiving store credit.
